Announcement: New Sectioning Scheme (October 1, 2000)Starting in January 2001, Physical Review E will change its title and appearance, but not its content. Over the past two or three years, Physical Review E had to be split into two parts for most issues because of the large number of published papers. As a result, the Editors, in consultation with the Editorial Advisory Board and with input from the community, have decided to formalize this split. The sections of Physical Review E have been rearranged so that the contents of the split issues will be more coherent. In addition, more emphasis will be given to the physics of soft matter and biological physics. (For a complete listing of sections with their associated PACS, refer to http://forms.aps.org/author/sections-pre.pdf.)
Each month Physical Review E will appear in two parts, which will be sent together. The title of Physical Review E will become: Part 1 Soft Matter and Biological Physics
Part 2 Chaos, Hydrodynamics, Plasmas, and
We emphasize the facts that each of the subjects previously contained in Physical Review E will appear in one of the two new parts or the other and that these parts will appear together in the foreseeable future. The browsing and searching capabilities of the online journal will not be affected by this change. |
