Phys. Rev. In this paper we present a more detailed treatment of the problem and present results for more general scattering geometries. In particular, we present new results for 90° Thomson scattering. Such geometries have been increasingly studied as x-ray sources of short-pulse radiation. Also, we present a clearer physical basis for these different cases. © 2005 The American Physical Society URL:
