Phys. Rev. E 60, 2496–2500 (1999)Active width at a slanted active boundary in directed percolationReceived 8 April 1999; published in the issue dated September 1999 The width W of the active region around an active moving wall in a directed percolation process diverges at the percolation threshold pc as W≃Aε-ν‖ln(ε0/ε), with ε=pc-p, ε0 a constant, and ν‖=1.734 the critical exponent of the characteristic time needed to reach the stationary state ξ‖∼ε-ν‖. The logarithmic factor arises from screening the statistically independent needle shaped subclusters in the active region. Numerical data confirm this scaling behavior. © 1999 The American Physical Society URL:
